Perturbative region on non-Gaussian parameter space in single-field inflation

چکیده

We calculate one-loop correction to the two-point functions of curvature perturbation in single-field inflation generated by cubic self-interaction. Incorporating observed red-tilted spectrum perturbation, relevant takes a finite value and inversely proportional spectral tilt. Requiring be much smaller than tree-level contribution leads an upper bound on primordial non-Gaussianity. While observationally allowed region non-Gaussian parameter space is found entirely included region, where contribution, appreciably large has larger 1% or even 10% latter. If future observations conclude non-Gaussianity falls such then it would important incorporate higher-order corrections order achieve precise cosmology. In some extreme cases, comparable magnitude might indicate breakdown cosmological theory context inflation.

Quasi Single Field Inflation in the non-perturbative regime

In quasi single field inflation there are massive fields that interact with the inflaton field. If these other fields are not much heavier than the Hubble constant during inflation (H) these interactions can lead to important consequences for the cosmological energy density perturbations. The simplest model of this type has a real scalar inflaton field that interacts with another real scalar S ...

On non-gaussianities in single-field inflation

We study the impact of higher dimension operators in the inflaton Lagrangian on the non-gaussianity of the scalar spectrum. These terms can strongly enhance the effect without spoiling slow-roll, though it is difficult to exceed fNL ∼ 1, because the scale which suppresses the operators cannot be too low, if we want the effective field theory description to make sense. In particular we explicitl...

Large Non-Gaussianities in Single Field Inflation

We compute the 3-point correlation function for a general model of inflation driven by a single, minimally coupled scalar field. Our approach is based on the numerical evaluation of both the perturbation equations and the integrals which contribute to the 3-point function. Consequently, we can analyze models where the potential has a “feature”, in the vicinity of which the slow roll parameters ...

Bounds on non-adiabatic evolution in single-field inflation

We examine the regime of validity of N-point spectra predictions of single field inflation models that invoke transient periods of non-adiabatic evolution. Such models generate oscillatory features in these spectra spanning frequencies up to the inverse time scale of the transient feature. To avoid strong coupling of fluctuations in these theories this scale must be at least ∼ 10−2/cs of the Hu...

On Non-Gaussian AR(1) Inflation Modeling

A severe limitation of the original autoregressive process of order one or AR(1) process is the Gaussian nature of the assumed residual error distribution while the observed sample residual errors tend to be much more skewed and have a much higher kurtosis than is allowed by a normal distribution. Four non-Gaussian noise specifications are considered, namely the normal inverse Gaussian, the ske...
